"A Peptic Ulcer or Acid re-flux is one of the many reasons listed - pain middle or upper stomach but usually not left or right side."
I have dealt with both and under meds to control it, I am quite aware of where and how the pain is. Like I said a doctor needs to be the one to DX these things and run the proper test...
A Peptic Ulcer or Acid re-flux is one of the many reasons listed - pain middle or upper stomach but usually not left or right side.
Dont_Angry, you never know until a doctor hopefully can make a correct diagnosis. It would be helpful to keep a diary of the pain days, times before or after meals food etc and other symptoms if any etc to bring with you when you see the doctor.
What Are the Symptoms of an Ulcer?
An ulcer may or may not have symptoms. When symptoms occur, they may include:
A gnawing or burning pain in the middle or upper stomach between meals or at night, Bloating, Heartburn, Nausea or vomiting
Acid re-flux
a burning pain or discomfort that may move from your stomach to your abdomen or chest, or even up into your throat.
Plus other symptoms Bloating, Heartburn, Nausea, Bloody or black stools or bloody vomiting
"I was told by the doctor after my diagnosis that it would take decades to progress, and now it's just gone from no symptoms to pain and enlargement in just two weeks."
------------------------------------------------------
I agree with your doctor except sometimes it does progress faster in some people but not in a couple of weeks or a year of being infected.
" it's usually on the right side but sometimes on the left too."
------------------------------------------------------
Since the liver is on the right side and sometimes you say the pain is on your left side it is not being caused by liver enlargement. If I was to guess I would ask to be checked for A Peptic Ulcer or Acid reflux but only a doctor can DX that. Remember HCV is called the silent killer for a reason... Best to you
I am not a doctor but guess the chances that it is HCV related is low

I also found i have a not so severe Lactose Intolerance that if I have too much milk or dairy products i will get Cramps, Painful gas Bloating etc
Symptoms tend to develop 30 minutes to two hours after drinking milk or eating dairy products. The severity of symptoms varies, depending on the amount of lactose a person can tolerate. Some people may be sensitive to extremely small amounts of lactose-containing foods, while others can eat larger amounts before they notice symptoms.
A couple of times i had Kidney stones and many times over the years very mild food poisoning not serious enough for medical attention.
2014 66 now and my fibrous is in the F3? range so hoping to start treatment soon.
Hopefully and most likely it's not something serious unless as noted above. Only a medical doctor can give you a diagnosis
How can you be so sure that Hep C is ruled out? The dull pain is exactly where the liver is, and matches the symptoms of a slightly enlarged liver.
This is not a HCV symptom... You need a doctor to check elsewhere.
Good luck
