12 week post PCR UND-Thanks Victrelis!!!!!!

Treated with boceprevir (Victrelis) for 43 weeks. tx was stopped 5 weeks early because of severe anemia. First und tx week 10.  I know it's not over yet, but it's looking pretty good :)

It wouldn't have happened without the help and advice from so many of you and our dear friend Trinity.

Wishing the same from all of you who are treating or about to treat. Hopefully we'll have a great year filled with great news!
-Dave

Thanks for helping me through my tx and taking the time to speak with dr kwo about my early stall in vl and dose reductions early in tx. Your experience with boce, and the anemia were invaluable.

We really have an incredible group of people here, and so many of you have taken the time to help the rest of us when you could have moved on and left the this relentless disease behind.

Bill-There a few benefits of having hep c, but gaining you as a friend has been a huge win regardless of the outcome. You gave me an idea about electrolysis for dogs that shed a lot, this could be big. Come down for a visit and we'll try it on Oscar :)
Thanks for everything brother!

Willing-If you get any more intelligent your brains are going to start leaking out of your ears! Thanks for the brilliant good natured advice to me and all of us. The crowd will roar when we hear your of your SVR!

Georgia-Thanks for the well wishes, I hope things are improving for you.  Hopefully our study group will as well as everyone else will be posting our SVR stories before long, go red and yellow bombers!!

Thank you everyone!!!!

Pretty good outcome for a guy whose back looks like Cousin It’s front; in fact, seriously good stuff, my friend. What a ride, huh? It looks like you’ve put it behind you now, so what’s next; full-body electrolysis :o)?

Thanks for sharing your wisdom and good company, my friend--

I hope it wasn't the post about losing back hair, wearing white sox with Birkenstocks, or sex at 7.7 hgb :)

Well, give me a link -- I never saw that last one!!!!!!!   But yes, the back hair -- ah yes, that was some post.

Ps - your HGB is spiffy

Thank you so much for the well wishes everyone. It's been a really good day for me. I was pretty shaky when I went to the lab to get my results today. I've been quite lucky so far. I feel really good and healthy. As Pam mentioned if the result is good the rough ride is worth it.

Frijole-
"Oh yes, so glad to see this post.  Congrats on this.  How is your hgb now-- getting back to normal?"
My HGB went from 7.0 eot to 15 at 9 weeks post. Platelets, WBC, ANC and LFTs are all normal now. I took two shots of procrit post tx and let it climb from there. I think my bone marrow had enough stimulation.

"I want to tell you how much I have enjoyed your posts over the months.  Seems like when I read your first post I thought to myself  - I don't know about this guy"

thanks, I hope it wasn't the post about losing back hair, wearing white sox with Birkenstocks, or sex at 7.7 hgb :)
