Help me please. Anxious and ITCHY!!!!

am so worried for hep B and hep C. I am itchy all over. However, it feels more like a nerve itch. As soon as I touch the itch, it goes away and moves somewhere else. My first set of  blood was done the same night as the accident (which was obviously negative since its too soon for anything to show up) and currently, I am awaiting the status of the patient. As far as for myself, I guess I won't really know for sure for another 3-6 months since it takes a while to initially show up. Could I have it? The needle ***** was small and I don't know the status of the patient either. I am very stressed out!!! It happened exactly 8 days ago. What does the "itch" feel like exactly? Is in with in the body or on the skin? Does it go away when scratched or what? So nervous and anxious. Could it be hep B, or C. Please help me. Thanks

Before I was diagnosed for HCV in 96,I had a bad body itch at times after showering and wouldn't go away until I was completely dry.It feels like bugs crawling under your skin. This was back in the 80"s.I also had hives that started with an itch and then spread, also in the 80-90's.Before I could get meds I used ice packs to sooth the itch.Try the ice and get tested for HCV.

There is no such thing.
I had hep C for over 30 years before I had a liver transplant and never had itching because hep C is asymptomatic.
Good night.

First thing stay calm and getting tested was the smart thing to do. You will get through this. Good luck .

It is probably stress related. Try a dermatologist or see your Dr.

So itching is not one of the first symptoms? Itching is only the result of liver damage? And can you elaborate on the type of itching that is felt. Thank you

If you were infected by either virus, you would not be experiencing the itching that is related to liver disease after only 8 days.
See a Dr., get tested and try meditation. :-)
