We all know how you feel, that's why we are in here blabbering on and on all day...it's nice to have new friends that UNDERSTAND what you are going through because most people just do not in the "real" world.
Welcome to the forum. :) (I mean the nut farm ;)
I am glad you have things organized including your biospy slides. Regarding the slides, you might want to send them in advance to the doctor -- notify them of course -- so he can get them read by their pathologist prior to your visit.
Also, if you feel comfortable 'moving' things a long -- I suggest you wait a few days and then call back and ask to speak to the Fibroscan technician. Tell the technician you're sheduled for an appointment with the doctor on such and such a day, and you want to like to make sure that you will have the possiblity of getting a Fibroscan. The technician should be in a better position to help you then the front desk people who are more administrative. Also, mention to the tech that you want to forward your biopsy slide set.
All the best,
-- Jim
