I found that riding my bike produce the most relief from post treatment joint pain. I did try to get back in shape as Bo did right after treatment. I found that to much to soon wasn't a good thing. I have noticed that bike riding seems to be the exercise most beneficial after treatment. I would have to say that is better than walking. It took at least 6 months after treatment to start feeling my muscles start connecting with my bones. Bike riding is low impact on your legs and helps slowly bring back muscle loss.
I can say that my hips don't pop anymore. Something I would have from time to time before treatment, increased during treatment and now is completely gone. So thanks Bo for posting this information. Yes the treatment was grueling and does have post treatment sides. But so does many other
treatments. I'm very glad I treated my hep C.
I'd rather be riding my bike over having hepatitis C any day.

Thank you so much for your post of this good news! It gives me hope to hang in there, and I think I do see improvement, too, at 10 mos post tx. I am 63 so I think that and other factors play into things as well. You give me motivation to stay positive!
Thanks for that upbeat post - such great news to hear! I'm just barely behind you time-wise, but not yet fully recovered from tx. I do have cirrhosis and multiple other long term health problems though, and I am continuing to make progress, so I'm really expecting that in another few months I should also be able to say all the interferon and ribavirin effects are gone! Can't wait to join you there!
Yay! I can't wait. I'm on week 21.
Thanks for the positive post. It's very helpful and encouraging.
We're always happy to hear good news like yours. I'm glad your joint pain has gone away and that you're enjoying exercising.
Hi there what great news to hear on a dull Sunday morning! Its very uplifting to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. My hubby still earl days EOT and he to is getting bad joint, muscle& bone pain which he didnt have before tx so its great to know that it is just a blip and things improve. Well done you just really brill news love Jules x
Dear Bo, thank you so much for sharing your improvement, it is wonderful news to hear!
I think it helps others when we share the good parts post tx.
I too feel better than I have in years.
It has been 16 months post and I am now happy I did the tx
Bless you for sharing

Yes, and I also want to note that my new-found post tx wavy hair, just keeps getting thicker and more luxurious! Who knows...was the Hep C making my pre tx hair thinner? I might even get a body wave on the top, so it matches the curls in the back, lol
But on a serious note, I did have bad joint pain for the first few months after Tx,, and it just gradually went away, so I barely noticed it,until I realized, "hey..no more pain". I do still stiffen up, if I remain in one position too long, and avoid sitting on cement.
Hey there, my hair is also very thick, wavy and curly. I was wondering the same as you...did the HCV make my hair so straight and thin?
Like you I have half and half hair, very curly and then stick straight.
I agree that all of these positive post give everyone hope for the future. I am really happy for you and those like you that are getting better each day after treatment.
I am also hopeful that my less then lovely hair will grow back nicely at the end of treatment. It sticks up in so many directions right now I don't even know how to brush it so I just let it do its own thing and that ain't real pretty right now :-)
Take care all of you healing from treatment!
I am 6 months post treatment and back to my normal routine and feeling great.
Very good to hear your good news. I know it wasn't easy for you during tx.
I don't have any residual side effects either !
I still have aching joints and I don't think it will go away. My hair came in straight but a little thicker. I would have loved wave.
It is so nice to hear from you, rockymoe :D Ya know, my aches and pains come and go. Today I was walking upthe street, and a guy I know yelled out, "Katy, you're limping". I hadn't noticed, so I suppose all this pain may be relative. And it is hard to tell what pain is age related, or due to the fact that I am about 15 pounds over-weight...sigh
It is always good to hear from you also, OH. You were very brave and determined, while on yr Tx, and at the same time, took the time out to encourage us also, with sage advice, such as "keep your eye on the finish-line"~
