Hey Kids, Well, Merck stamped "SVR" on my forehead yesterday, and sent me on my way. No sparklers, no festive hats, not even a lousy tap beer ball. I have been ND since my third week on the MK5172-068 drug trial. The Director of Hepatology is presenting a paper on the trial I participated in @ the EASL Conference this month in Vienna. It carries the "breakthrough" designation for GT1 and 1a w/ ESRD, and GT4 w&w/o cirrhosis. If you are interested, check Healio.com's "HCV Next" portal for the most up to date info on this and all other recent developments in HCV tx. Highly recommended by yours truly. I signed on for the optional 24 month follow up, just (2) viral titers and ultrasounds per year, I felt it was the least I could do after getting close to $100K worth of meds for free... I guess this is the end of the road for me here pretty much, I'll chime in now and again if I think a newbie might want to hear what I have to say. Thanks to all of you who helped, and to those I got to know a bit. SVRs To All, mac790
