Have I contracted Hepatitis

Hi,I went for physical examination and chest x-ray as required for our job, they sent me to hospital ward where mostly hepatitis C patients come for xray and ultrsound and there is 1 suit(greensuit) for patient to wear and lie on bed as according to their rule , so I wore that green gown wore by every hepatitis patient there it was dirty and at that time I also popped my pimple and touched the blood on my face and have pimples all over back also and I was also putting my hands in mouth , is their any chance of transmission of hepatitis help thanks?

Hi, as expressed by the editor and our member, what you describe is not a risk for hepatitis or HIV.  As there was no risk and your question has been answered, we are now going to close this discussion.  We wish you the best of health.

Transmission requires blood to blood contact with the blood of someone who has Hep C, so this is not likely in your case. Educate yourself by reading more about what Hep C is here: http://www.medhelp.org/hepatitis-c/articles/What-Is-Hepatitis-C/2251

Thanks for reply . I know it is unlikely for transmission to occur , but the medical setting in which I was , there were no measures because our hospital is dirty with patients who have both HIV+ HEP C virus in "elastography department" same gown was wore by 100 patients there and my skin is not intact even dry blood can infect the intact skin in few %age of cases but I have acne and some form of dermatitis , my acne bleed all the time and I remember I cleaned my popped pimple there and eaten cookies there until doctor came (my mistake) but it is what it is , this has bothered me alot I am worried on serious note brother , any help will be appreciated by me , sorry for writing long :) stay blessed
As the moderator has answered hep c requires blood to blood contact. Hep c infected blood would have to enter your blood stream. I expect you would have noticed if the garment was stained with fresh blood.

There have been no know transmissions from clothing resulting in a hep c infection.

You are not at risk for hep c from the scenario  you have described.
@flyinlynn - Thanks alot for your reply , but let me tell you also that in this ward there were not only hepc patients but such patients who had both  HEP C+ HIV , is there any chance of HIV in this scenario , and sorry for bothering you people and taking your precious time , God Bless you all , be healthy, good and prosperous. :)
