Hep c and herpes

I've started to see a guy that has been treated for hep c, over 12 month period, he says he has the antibodies but it's not an issue anymore? I have herpes, but am on suppressive medication, we don't wear condoms. Is he more at risk because he has hep c to get herpes? Or less likely?

As hrsepwrguy said it does sound like your partner was treated and probably cured of hep c so he no longer has the virus. He will always test positive for antibodies they are made by the body when it tries to fight the hep c virus they are now part of his immune system. Antibodies are not the virus and are not infectious.

He does not have Hepatitis C. He is at the same risk as any other person of contracting herpes. In fact even if he still was infected this would have no effect on his risk of herpes or any other illness.

First it appears that your partner has successfully treated his hep c so he doesn't have hep c anymore only the antibodies which are harmless, that being said my guess is his chances are about the same as anyone else.
