Your baby will not be at any risk from previous interferon/ribavirin treatment you had. Good luck with your future little one.
family not fapily... deuh!
hello sheba, congratulations to ur daughter. how exciting!!!! is she now free of the virus good for her that she treated at such young age. please keep us updated. in reference
to ur experience well first of, i am sorry to hear how it has nade you feel. i personally cannot help but i know that a number od people have had great difficulty with the tretment! which genotype are you? what was the diagnostic prior tx? level of liver damage that is?you said seven times. how long each time and did you have any success including the virus becoming undetectable at times or even a slowing down of scarring? you know that genotypes 1 and 4 are more resistant than the 2 and 3. I wish you very well and hope these side effects start to go away very soon. again i am happy for your fapily let us know :)
thank you for the feedback. I agree with both. NYgirl's prognostic of a one year wait period after tx and before pregnancy sounds quite reasonable... i had suspected that the riba has some heavy duty effect on reproductive organs... considering my age (40 on may 8)
i may want to start considering the adoption option which is fine absolutely but... you know... i suppose most women know what i am talking about... well c'est la vie :) thank you again very much. for some reason it has beem hard fpr me to find studies or research on the topic! best to u2
The package insert that comes with the meds says at least 6 months post-tx before conceiving. The damage done by the riba to the reproductive systems of both men and women takes that long to clear, even though the riba is out of your system. I know of one woman who conceived right at the 6 month mark and her child has a lot of health problems, so I would have to agree with nygirl that longer is probably better.
My 25 yea rold has had HCV since birth. She is week away from having her first baby. They have new tecniqes for birthing now. They are saying she has been off meds for 7 years,(Suicdal fromeds at that tm). They say it is not in the breast milk or embiotic fluid, so if the masking works our new bay should be safe. I personally am having many medical problems after 7 tries on meds (full term) and just wondered if it mess anyone else up as bad. Every doctor I see for the new problems says there is a 90% can all be linked to treatments. Be careful and research this with you doctor. Take care.
I can't really remember anyone from here getting pregnant after treatment but then most of us are the same age and well.........dont really want to to tell you the truth.
I assume you sure can but I would wait a VERY suitable period to make sure that riba was really out of my system completely. At least a year. Not worth the risk.
