I am G-2.....I have very little, next to no physical side effects......I have had some, but not steadily......
I will get a dull headache, dizziness if I don't drink enough water, as well as insomnia from slugging on a water bottle all night....

I'm sure you've heard before........drink copious amounts of water, or should I say I have to, in order to avoid those things.

I was a geno 2, never knew if it was a or b.

For headaches, try cool compresses or massage. Rub your neck and scalp or better yet, have someone else do it.
I found a lot of my physical side effects were related to muscle tension.

Besides Faith's good advice to drink lots of water, get out and walk, every day that you are able.
Some days, I felt just like napping, and had to drag myself out of the house. Maybe I only made it down the block and back. But often, I'd walk for a mile or more.
Movement helps all of your body, including your liver.
After you're done with tx, you'll be really glad you didn't just lie around for 6 months.

Faith: Glad to hear you're doing well :)

Yes, desrt is correct, I'm always looking for g-2s; our tx timelines and issues are a little different from g-1s, so not everything we see posted applies to us.

I am g-2b, in week 11 of SOC, and my experience is much like babs824, and the fluids are key for me in avoiding side effects. When I slack off I can tell an immediate difference, but getting back on them resolves issues sometimes within hours.

Dehydration is an issue for everyone on tx and a lot of the side effects are due to that, especially headaches.

If your hgb crashed immediately you will feel the extreme effects of anemia (fatigue, brain fog as oxygen is not moving through your body and to your brain as usual). I found my body adjusted to the low hgb so rather than feeling like I had been hit by a train, it only feels like I've been hit by a car.
I felt better a few weeks after the start of tx, but that is not to say there are good days and bad.

G-2s are fortunate as they avoid a lot of the more extreme side effects of G-1s on triple tx, and most people on here are G-1s so you hear a lot about the really rough stuff. I was prepared for far worse, but feel fortunate as to how things have gone.

I know Faithforhealing was looking for other geno 2s. The above is a link to her home page.
