Hi, I don't refrigerate my victrelis at all. I keep it in the safe in my closet and take the daily bottle out and carry in my purse. Says can store up to 3 months at room temperature.I have told nobody of my treatment but family. My shots I hide in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. I shred all the packaging. My empty victrelis box and containers I take off my information and throw in a store parking lot trash can. After reading above I'm glad I do it this way. I was undected Vl at 12 weeks. All my liver functions are in the normal range now. Monday I'll start my 16th week which will be half way! GOOD LUCK!
Trust me......you Always want to have something in your stomach for your morning doses. Nurse said because we fast all night while sleeping, we're more likely to get an upset stomach in the mornings, with all that acid. So put something solid in there so that the meds don't churn away and make you sick. Pace yourself, no need to over eat. You certainly don't have to eat the same amount of fat with the VIC, but do eat something with each dose. Even if it's a tablespoon of ice cream or peanut butter. The nighttime doses don't hit me nearly as hard as the morning and afternoon. Could also be because I have gotten in all of my water by then.
Thanks! I'll do the same. i start tomorrow. So, my other question, do you guys really eat food with each does? It will be hard for me to eat at 6am and 10 pm....
For the first two weeks, I took all the VIC out of the daily bottles and put the pills (and the riba) into pill organizers, one of which - the afternoon dose- went into my purse and stayed there, the othre stayed on my kitchen window sill (not in sunlight). This week I have been taking the daily bottle out of the fridge in the morning and it stays out all day.
Those in the trials said the VIC had to be refrigerated until dosing. Can-do even kept his 10:00 dose on his nightstand with an ice pack. I think that Merck has come to the conclusion that it is okay for the patient to remove it from the fridge.
I too plan to ask my doc if he has received any more specific instructions, but I am afraid he probably hasn't.
I guess the test will be what my 2-wk VIC PCR says, and I don't have the results yet.

I do the same, I keep in fridge and then take days bottle out, so the afternoon & evening dose are out of fridge for several hours. Pharmacist said they can be out of fridge for 30 days. I am in week 19 and still UND so must be ok!
I store them in the fridge. Each morning I take out the bottle for that day. I take the.morning pills and the bottle goes.in my purse to take the afternoon dose. And evening dose. That is fine for the day.good.luck
Hi. I keep mine in the fridge for the morning and evening doses. I put the afternoon dose in my purse (because it doesn't exceed the temperature requirement) in the original bottle. And because I don't want to put it in the fridge at work. Where I store my purse, is very cool, so I know it will not be too hot.
