Kelly - In your other post you indicated you had stopped after developing "red dots"  and I posted there.  What was the reason for you stopping?  Because you are 4/4 I would think you would be extending tx since your VL became so low.

I've done 3 rounds of treatment since '99, developed hypothyroidism following the third round. I too take daily synthroid. I did two unsuccessful rounds, each 6mos, and the 3rd was a lengthy 20mos, still have the virus and also geno 1a.  I am currently into my 2nd week of round 4!  I am in the P05685 study, you can read all about it at www.clinicaltrials.gov.  It includes the peg+riba and boceprevir(hopefully my wonder drug!!!)  I can keep you posted, if interested, just drop me a note.  Good luck to you kiddo, you're among winners, that's for sure!!!!

a month before i finished treatment 48 weeks, i developed hyper.  i'm still on medication for hyper to bring it to normal, i've heard that most people either get normal thyroid afterwards or switch to hypo.

keep the good work up if you're willing to handle another round.
best of luck

i went hyper at week 24 and was hypo by week 30.  Unfortunately it happens mostly to women. I take synthroid every day and it seems to control it but I will have it for the rest of my life.

I did however treat successfully so for me it was a fair trade off.  I'm sorry you had such a hard time.
