Triple Therapy with Incivek, in Wk 11, so far so good

Hi All,
Just an update, my husband, who is Genotype 1a and doing triple therapy with Incivek, is in Wk 11 now.  He saw his NP this past Thurs. and labs are still good.  WBC=2.56 THOU/uL, RBC=3.49 mil/uL, Hemoglobin=11.6 g/dL, Platelet count=91 THOU/uL,  Waiting for viral load results, probably toward the end of this week.  So far as side effects: some itching (no rash), lots of fatigue, and still has anal/rectal pain and bleeding.  Still working full time and doing OK.

I am so relieved to hear the good news.  It just makes so much better when we as a family can see the results right here before our eyes.    He has had a very good nurse helping him through this journey and you need to pat yourself on the back for me.    I know he is fighting through this and it isnt a joy ride but it sure makes a difference when you have someone loving by your side doing it with you.   God Bless the Both You and I am Praying for Great Results on VL   :)

Wonderful to hear that your husband's lab results are holding and that he is finding treatment tolerable.  Sometimes keeping routine and working through helps fight the fatigue and the psychological downs of treatment.  Surely having Advocate in his corner helps a great deal :).  Hoping he gets that golden undetected!  Keep us posted, and best wishes. ~eureka
