I am happy so happy for you! I started like you and it hasn't been too bad; there have been days that were harder than others but it never laid me out. I never missed a day of work. I have 8 shots out of 48 left and have started my count down.
Good luck to you and I pray for you a smooth tx ride...

here's wishing you the best of luck! do you do windows?:) just kiddin...hope it's not too bad for you, and you can continue to be at least a little physical....sounds like you have a great attitude...
Yes it seems to be the general consensus to take the Ribavirin with food, particular with fat content. I believe it helps prolong the life of the Riba and helps with indigestion. Don't go crazy...no Big Macs, but try cheese, yogurts, peanut butter etc. Try sticking to the "good" fats.
You should also drink a lot of water, but the reasoning there seems to be that it helps with the side effects and keeps you hydrated. This stuff will dry you out.
Good luck with your treatment. Hopefully you will have little sides. I started out like you and still doing very well with very little sides and I only have 6 more shots to do (24 weeks/g2).
Take care....
Pam
I read that you need to take your riba with food my doctor says it does not matter just as long as you drink a whole glass of water. I dont get sick either way but some one in here said if you dont take it with food you pee it all out what do you think.

Wow!! Glad to hear you're not feeling too bad. I'm not looking forward to treatment at all but it always helps me when I read posts like this. I remember years ago before Pegasys they had something else, I think it may have just been Interferon without the Pega and I used to hear some really honest to goodness straight out of the "you don't wanna try this" book of damnation. I'm so glad that it's really not that bad for most people anymore. good luck and thanks!! I needed that. later
