is this rvr

Hi, this roscoe. diane started trial drug at a very high viral load, in the high millions. at her week 2 test she was at 7 thousand. her only complaint is fatique and she stays in the bathroom. she just went for her week 4 tests i pray she is undetected. says alt and ast are normal, thyroid is good, platelets not dropped at all. her only thing is rbc's dropped by 1 point, started high normal. whats your opinons? i am awaiting this drug for my own hcv, it seems wonderful. Is this RVR?  thanks

My apologies; I misread, and then misspoke. Marcia is correct; there isn’t enough data yet to determine RVR status. I have to learn to read the posts more thoroughly,

Just wanted so add... We don't really know yet if she is RVR, because it doesn't seem you have received the results from her 4 week PCR


If her 4 week PCR comes back UND, she would be considered RVR.

Am crossing my fingers for her.

RVR (Rapid Viral Response) is defined as being undetectable for virus at the four week juncture. So no, a viral load of 7000 would not be considered RVR. However, this is definitely a significant response; and her other labs appear reasonable as well. She wants to closely monitor her hemoglobin as well as absolute neutrofils from here on out; these two values are responsible for many treatment problems.
