Day 2 More Energy

Is it really possible to have more energy after only 2 days on Sovaldi/Olysio treatment? This morning I thought I must be imagining it but my energy level has stayed up all day and I feel GOOD for the first time in years. I saw other posts similar to this but didn't really believe it....how is that even possible?

I go back to my doc tomorrow for the endoscopy and then we will treat if that looks fine and I think it will, I have not had any problems. Can we tell the doctor what we want to treat with? I am thinking that I do not want the ribivarin either, I am 1 A and he mentioned Sovaldi to me, so I am thinking the rest will be with it as well.

Just this ole' Grammy putting her 2 cents in!  I have only 21 days left of my Solvaldi and Olysio and I feel energetic and healthy for the first time in probably 20 years.  Now at 61 years old feeling energetic is a challenge without hep c.... but these drugs made my whole again.
If I do not reach SVR I will be shocked and if they told me to stay on them the rest of my life I would do it without hesitation.

The postings I have read where people are reporting bad side effects on treatment are the ones that include Ribavarin.... that crap almost killed me.  Ask your doctors to drop that drug and continue on with the Olysio and Sovaldi and see what a difference it might make.  Interferon and Ribavarin are similar to anti-freeze in my opinion.  They have worked for some but certainly have adversely effected others.

I got denied twice,the girl at my docs office is a bulldog.The third time they gave in and I got it.Have them keep at it.Today I go for my 2 week bloodwork,nervous and excited.This combo is a piece of cake compared to all the previous poison I tried.The ribo and peg and then the incivek with ribo and peg gave me anemia,flu symptoms and high blood pressure just to name a very few side effects.Two weeks into sovaldi-olysi and no side effects,enough energy to go to the gym everyday.Stay on them,at $1,000.00 a pill you know your going to be in for a battle.

I have Medicare with AARP Part D which is contracted with United Healthcare. I was approved after 1st request for the required pre-approval. I am 1a, treatment naive. Feeling very blessed, especially after reading about so many of you who are much sicker than I am and are being denied. It's crminal. Wishing you good luck with your appeal.

Can I ask what drug insurance you have?

I just got denied Sovaldi/Olysio. My doctor has sent an appeal. I just don't get it I am genotype 1a diagnosed with cirrhosis in 2008. I have been a null responder to 3 treatments up to interferon with Ribavirin.

That is such wonderful news! I am going to start that same treatment in just a few weeks and am So excited!

Haven't done treatment yet but I know for sure when I really get into doing treatment, the specialist, the treatments, I lose energy for sure, weeks at a time thinking about it. So maybe the opposite is true. You got the best treatment available (not even available, actually). I would be dancing on my head the second I heard I was doing that combination!
