Really good answer, the questions was not clear or complete enough for me to answer
Thanks

As Will posted, you either have Hepatitis C or you do not have it.
If you ever had Hepatitis C you will always have a positive antibody (for life).
If you had active Hep C in the past and your body was able to successfully fight it off (about 15% of the cases), you no longer have Hep C, but you will still carry the positive antibodies for life.
If you contracted Hepatitis C in the past and your body could not fight off the disease (about 85% of cases), then you are infected with the Hep C virus and, after the acute phase of the infection ( first 6 months of infection), those 85% go on to develop active chronic Hep C. These people do have the active disease and they are infectious.
So, either you had acute Hepatitis C and fought it off ( your antibody test is positive but your PCR is negative) OR you have active chronic Hepatitis C and have both a positive antibody test and a positive PCR.
If you have a positive PCR then you have active Hepatitis C. As Will said, you either have Hep C or you do not. There is no such thing as inactive Hepatitis C.
A person can have chronic Hep C for years/decades and have no or minimal symptoms. However, the Hep C virus is still busy doing its damage whether you have symptoms or not.
Your question is a little unclear but hopefully these responses help answer your question.
Do u mean Undetected hcv? or antibody positive? but PCR negative? in that case HEP c is no longer is your body and inactive might mean undetected or not active and it doesnt not have any damage to ur liver or health whatsoever..
There is no such condition as "Inactive HCV". One either has the virus or does not.
Do you have HCV?
