VICTRELIS poll 2011

To all my cyber friends......I'm curious.....how many are doing or will be doing triple therapy with VIC in September 2011??  I would like to keep an eye on your posts/progress.  If you have already started, how are you feeling with the lead in of RIBA & INT?  And if you have already added VIC, how are you feeling now?  Any suggestions on time schedule for meds?  I posted mine in my journal but am still working on it, as I am still battling insomnia.  For anyone who cleared with Victrelis, how many weeks of tx did you do?

Thursday night, Friday and Sunday have not been good days for me.  But I am not entirely sure if I want to totally blame the way I am feeling on treatment.  I have had a small rash on my upper right arm, that seems to have improved with: EXTRA STRENGTH GOLD BOND HEALING, MEDICATED BODY LOTION, TRIPLE ACTION RELIEF FOR EXTRA DRY & ITCHY SKIN, soothes and cools with aloe and Vitamin E.  I know I previously posted about CVS anti-itch spray for poison ivy -- IGNORE that.  It did absolutely nothing for the itch (and I am talking the milder rash of RIBA/INT, so I doubt it would help with Invicek). .........The RIBA/INT rash woke me up Thursday night.  Friday I just felt funky all day.  Saturday, I felt fine, even did some light cardio.  Sunday (today), I felt fine this morning but by the time I got to church, I had the shakes big time, and was weak.  Anybody else have the shakes with treatment???  I had not heard that it was a side effect, so it surprised me (and I did have a good breakfast).  Thanks in advance for your reponses.  Blessings & best to you all..... Taking things one day at a time and praying to feel fine by tomorrow.

In week 14 of tx, starting week 7 of Vic.  UND since week 7 of tx.   Rash is likely from Riba,  use just OTC cortisone cream and it keeps it at bay.  Cough has been non stop since starting tx,  I think it gets worse when my HGB drops. Other symptoms are fatigue,  dry mouth.. just don't feel right, can't pinpoint exactly what that is other than the effects of 17 pills per day and 2 shots per week (one pegasys and one neupogen).  Thinking of you and hope things go well.. just listen to your body!

Hi everyone,

Kirk -- Thanks so much.  Wow, you are brave taking shots on Mondays.  I'm in the Friday night dart club.  Hope you feel better this week.

Magnum -- I have acid reflux on and off (actually sent me to the hospital once).  Don't remember a cough, just bad burning sensation and pain.  Helps to sleep with your head propped up a bit higher (as long as that doesn't hurt your shoulders and back), and helps to watch which foods might trigger it.  Wishing you continued minimal sides :)

Sandy -- Wow, week 7!  I guess I'm kind of expecting the dry mouth.  Bought some Biotene for that, as others here say it works really well.  I will look out for the cough.  I have cough drops by the bed, but any hard candy should help keep the throat happy I think.  Thanks.

Hi AJ -- I've been queasy a few times, where I felt I would throw up.  Had a little bit of the shakes this morning but I seem back to normal right now.  My ear has been hurting and is triggering my Vertigo, so the past couple of days have been no fun.  Otherwise, I have not felt 'dizzy' from the meds, as far as I can tell.  Glad you are doing well.

No so much the shakes, as a little lightheadness, and shaky, but not too bad. I was a little queasy first so I think thats why. It is definitely a sys. Stay well  aj

Only problem so far is cough after 10 days. Doc thinks it's caused by acid reflux. Has me on ant-acid twice daily. Otherwise not bad side effects.

I’m finishing week 1 of Vic.  Did well on the lead in, very few side effects.  I feel a little more run down since starting Vic. But I’m not sure if it is the Vic or just the last 5 weeks catching up to me.  I take my shot Monday and always felt better by Thursday or Friday.  Never started feeling better this week.
