Hi heather,
I have a friend who was bi-polar, needed to treat for 24 weeks and did clear the virus, she was being followed for her bi-polar disease and made it, so with that in mind maybe you should get other advice.

sounds like you didn't clear and need to treat. i would see a hepatologist (liver specialist) and see what they think. They have experience treating special cases,  bi-polar, etc
They may want you to treat right away while the viral level is low.

best of luck

Hi - For the record, I am acute HCV since probably early June.  My levels dropped drastically so my doctor decided to wait until Dec 1st before retesting.  Until then I am being very careful not to get sick or challenge my immune system in anyway. - not that I do anyway but I will be extra careful around sick people.

I am NOT bipolar but still the treatment decision is the same

Good luck to you and here's hoping we beat this on our own !!
