Sounds like a good idea. Leg cramps from H*LL any one?
I don't know if it is hep c or cirrhosis or the Spironolactone but mine started 4 years after I was DX with cirrhosis and 2 years after I started Spironolactone (Aldactone). Muscle cramps is somtimes a listed side effect of Spiro.
I have those horrible leg cramps too and I'm not yet on treatment so must be related to HCV
Leg cramps are the worst! Not only when trying to sleep - you have to get out of bed and drink 3 glasses of water and walk slowly and agonizingly around but I even get these during the day, while walking or sitting - massage, jumping around, nothing seems to make them go away except drinking even More water and waiting a bit for them to subside
This thread has an interesting evolution from one titled harvoni treatment -
rather convoluted
perhaps new threads that focus on any one of these specific issues? Just a thought
:-)..... Do you know you have 86 response posts, 87 now? :-)
Had to weigh in on bone crushing, life changing, NOOOO -LEG CRAMPS!!
OUCH!!!!!!!! Never had them before a year ago, never knew anyone else did!! Being awakened & then when I could walk to kitchen, drinking UGH warm milk....& cal & mag & no they just, well you obviously know the 1 twitch signal. Is this related to HCV, Lynn?
Goodest part.... Only had 2 x since start of Tx. Ok if I never feel those hungers again!! And, yes, they do make ya beg for mercy!
Hope you're doing really well w/ added fruit!
Hugs,
Ran
Hi
So you know your fibrosis score how much liver damage you have?
Started treatment at VA on Jan 19th with Harvoni. Go in every two weeks to get prescription and lab tests. So far just insomnia, fatigue, headaches and this week, leg cramps, chills, joint pain. Don't know if side effect or flu. Doctor said treatment could be as little as 8 weeks, maybe 12. Treatment naïve, genotype 1.
Thanks Mary
Hope you are doing great also!
Lynn
