Has anyone had their pancreas affected by Hep C

I recently saw a specialist about my digestive problems. he found out thru bloodwork that my lipase and amylase enzymes are elevated and has scheduled a ultrasound for next week. I tried treatment for Hep c from April to July but had to quit due to ....circumstances. The ultra sound is for my Pancreas....been reading up on it and am worried sick. Plus I have been physically ill digestively for the past month or so. Anyone else having similiar problems with the Pancreas

3wheelin knows what she's talking about. I've had five attacks of Pancreatitis, and it is one of the most painful things to come down with. My attacks were brought on by alcohol as well. And I had to have my gall bladder removed, so the pancreas is working the job of two organs. When I had my last attack they were injecting Dilaudid directly into my vein from my I.V. and even it didn't make the pain go away. I'm sure she can give you some really good advice.

Hi, I have.  1st attack was about 3 years ago - amylase count was 3,000 - its supposed to be between 70-110.  Was going thru divorce and liked to have drank myself to death.  If you want to email me I'm at jbg_red***@****
I didn't even know what a pancreas was till then & I'll tell you what, I spent 28 hours in labor when I had my kid 20 years ago and that didn't hold a candle to the pain that the pancreatitis did to me.
