HectorSF

Hi everyone -

Blondie717 has asked me to post and let everyone know some very sad news. I'm very sorry to say that HectorSF passed away yesterday.

As many of you know, Hector fought long and hard, and he helped so many people, here and in doing advocacy work and leading support groups. He was a member of this site since 2008, and was a community leader in Cirrhosis. My words can't describe all he did for others while fighting his own health issues, but you can read some of his history on his profile - http://www.medhelp.org/personal_pages/user/446474

He was an amazing man. I know, and everyone at MedHelp knows, that this is a big loss for all of you. We offer our sincerest condolences.

Emily

I just heard about this and am shocked and dismayed. HectorSF was the best! The Medhelp hep-c forum would not have been the same without him. He helped me and many, many others. God bless him and may he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear this, Hector probably helped all of us at one time or another either directly or indirectly. I know he helped me. He was a great guy, and very knowledgeable. He also gave me a sense of hope when I was pretty down. Since then I've been cured, I was hoping he would have made it too.

What a terrible loss.

Howie was a gentle man and at the same time a fearless fighter. He was exceedingly generous of spirit even when he was in the most desperate of circumstances.
We were so very fortunate to have known him.
May he rest in peace.

Thank you for posting this.

I knew and was friendly with him for about a decade.
He was an inspiration; a bright positive and informed source of information really unparalleled in quality and quantity.

A great light has gone out, but how brightly he shone.

vaya con dios buddy.
