No you didn’t have an open wound
Open wound ie fresh wet weeping not a superficial scratch. Only about 4% or less of the population has hep c with the number decreasing all the time as nor hep c is essentially curable in most cases. So your odds of randomly encountering someone with hep c is small. Add to that hep c is not easily transmitted it requires blood to blood contact. The most common methods of transmission is sharing IV drug needles or having a blood transfusion prior to 1990 when hep c antibody testing was developed and the blood supply secured.
I have no idea how I contracted HepC, not being a drug user or promiscuous. In fact, my experience is common. But in your case, not to worry: Get tested in a few months (not right away, as the test requires the formation of antibodies). If it is positive, today's treatments are short, easy, and amazingly successful.
