Hep C Risk?

Hi everyone. Last week I was talking with this guy who is hep C positive. I know he is positive at least for a year. Dont know is he is under treatment. The thing is he was talking to me and accidentally he spat tiny drops of saliva in my cheek. I think no drop went into my eye. My question is: if he had bad dental hygiene and my eye received a tiny drop of saliva mixed with blood, im I at risk? I ask this because I read a lot of people not knowing how they got infected with hep C.  Could this be one of those unknown transmission ways? Thank you in advance.

"more info about those ¨mysterious¨ ways of infection"

If this could be answered they would not be mysteries. Possible some may have had since birth others suspect air gun injections in the US military.

If you are worried get tested in six months but honestly your risk is greater to win the lottery and be hit by lightning in the same day.

Possibly you may want to consider speaking with a medical professional about your anxiety issues. That is probably your greatest health problem at this moment.

Good luck

Hi Kim! First of all thank you for your quick reply! I'm living almost a nightmare right now because im very paranoid about this particular issue. I asked other people and told me things like you did. But I also read on the internet some people saying that this virus is possibly found on saliva.
And i read a lot of people not knowing why they got infected. That is what scares me the most.
Anyway, i would aprecciate a little more info about those ¨mysterious¨ ways of infection and also about the right amount of blood that your need to be infected. Also if saliva could neutralize the virus (if blood present) like it does with hiv.
Thank you very much for your reply Kim and god bless you! You really helped me! :)

Hi there and welcome
To answer your question No.
Zero risk
Hepatitis C is a blood to blood virus
You can not catch it by sneezing, coughing, kissing, ect.  Honestly it's pretty hard to get.  You are completely safe.  No worries!
Hope that helps
