Hepatosplenomegaly diagnosis unknown

I went to the doctor for urniary problems (hematuria, painfull urination)and fatigue.  The doctor ordered a ultrasound and they said I needed a CT.  The CT showed Hepatosplenomegaly.  I had several lab test and they were all fine.  My peripheral smear showed atypical giant cells and my platelets were normal on my CBC but the low side of normal.  I had low blood sugar and a slightly supressed TSH.
I don't know where to go from here.  I feel like my spleen and liver is swollen for a reason but I can't get any answers other that time will tell or I had a virus or something.  I also had a epstein barr lab test that showed very high antibodies to VCA IGG and IGM but no early antibodies.  The hematologist said I did not have Mono (test was negative and didn't indicate on peripheral smear.)

Get your Dad to see a LIVER SPECIALIST ASAP!!!
An enlarged spleen and an enlarged liver are symptoms from chirrosis of the liver which can be caused by Hepatitis C or from abusing alchohol.
Or take him to see an Upper GI Doctor. He needs help before he gets worse and believe me, it can get worse!!

Get your Dad to a liver clinic FAST!! He most likely has chirrosis of the liver.
Hepasplenamagaly is an enlarged liver and and enlarged spleen!!! He could also (possibly) have Hepatitis C.

Or he needs to see an Upper GI Dr.
But please get your Dad to see a Liver Specialist!!

I did see a hematologist and he made me feel that it is all in my head and my symptoms and hepatosplenomegaly is just a fluke.  I am very frustrated because I have so much fatigue, and I am really tired of worrying about it.

In laymans terms an enlarged spleen, which unless you have been dx with stage 4 liver disease can be caused by a number of different things. The fact you have enlarged or deformed cells would have me calling a blood Doc to explain what they mean, Large cells can do exactly what sickle cell does and obstruct the pathways by clumping together, hope its transient and goes away.
