The short answer is 48 week of less **ll but doable. Better try to get as much done as you can because the next 44 weeks will be a kiddie roller coaster. Got to look at it this way, what is the last med you take? Well it will be 6 months before it is completely out of you're system, so they say but that is just the traceable amounts. Unless your one of the lucky ones and there are few, keep positive and keep moving forward. just kidding ;)

I am 16 weeks post treatment and feel great except for headaches. They started about 4 weeks after my last riba and now I get them every 2 to 3 weeks and they can last anywhere from 1 to 5 days. Never had headaches prior to tx. I was just rereading all of Dr. Dietrich's responses and noticed that he said after he treated, he had an 'interferon hangover' for a year. He doesn't state what that means exactly, but it just shows you that these drugs can take a long time to totally leave the body.
The sensitivity to light lasted awhile for me. Bones joints remained sensitive to pain also.
I assume the "hypo" you mentioned is a hypometabolism that occurs after SVR. Weight gain is common. Some of us have had the cholesterol values get very high.
If you're taking AD's it's a good idea to stick with them awhile. It's my opinion the hypo 'stuff' may be related to post tx depression.
I've searched for post tx, especially post SVR information. There just doesn't seem to be very much around.
good luck,
Max
I finished tx Christmas Eve; am just over 3 months post. I didn't feel any better at all after tx; psychologically I was thrilled to finish the meds, but I knew (first hand from watching friend come of tx 3 months earlier), that the meds will still be doing their thing, and that my body was also coming out of hibernation to start its own movement in my immune system again.
Initially post tx is the time when we need the MOST patience. There is such an expectation at the end of such a marathon and I think it's always pretty much an anti-climax to get to the end, when there isn't really an end, and we're not even sure when or whether there will be an end!!! That's enough to make anyone irritable.
Feeling better came on in very subtle stages for me and was hardly noticeable for some time. I started work again 5 weeks post and was emotionally and physically quite fragile. By 4 weeks my bloods were not too dissimilar to EOT; by 8 weeks I had started to feel noticeable changes (good ones), and now, 14 weeks my good days are FANTASTIC.
I still have a little trouble sleeping on some nights, and am prone to sore arms, shoulders, hands (my doc says it's my posture, and with massage and adjustments it's improving).
I suggest you continue to do everything 'good' for yourself, much as you did during tx and continue to treat yourself like a 'patient' - your are not quite in recovery straight after tx; your body is still responding to a tumultuous onslaught, both from the meds and from the recovery. Looking forward to hearing you're doing much better in a few weeks. Congrats on getting through!!!
Hi. Hi treated for 55 weeks. During tx my anger level was BAD. Luckily I live alone and had no one to yell at. It took 3 weeks after tx for that to wear off.
Im a little over 3 months post tx and left with severe body aches and brain fog...
Everything else is better!
You will get better soon!
Those drugs are toxic give yourself some time.
Best of luck

Your anger is common but I think everyone is different just like on TX.
Some of us bounced right back after 48 weeks and some of us didn't after 24 weeks, me being one of those.
Some of us got depressed most didn't.
I think everyone told me it might take 3 weeks or a little more. Try to remember that your body basically just fought a war and hopefully it won. Good Luck
