Scott, you'd be better off starting a new thread with your question, it will get buried as part of this thread which is 2007. When you post, include when you've had PCR viral load tests throughout your treatment and what your viral load was at each, that will help.
Can somebody please tell me, where I stand I have been undergoing treatment for 15 weeks. I started with a viral count of 2.9 million after 15 weeks my count as of today is 165, I have Geno 1 a. What are the odds of clearing. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I am presently taking 15 mcg of Infergen daily and 1200 mg of the ribasphere.
I was diagnosed around 1993 with hvc. Had biopsy 2 weeks ago Stage 2 Grade 2.
I was sick in 84. They did not know what hepc was then. So..I was diagnosed as chronic hepatitis .
This has happened to many people. Now they know what hcv is...then they didnt,
Go get yourself checked out if your so so worried!
Its for your own good.
take it easy
i have gotten check waiting on the rest to happen from hep dr
how did u know u had it 20 years... or was that when u was diagnosed?
glad your class went well and you learned. Im new here too only been on the forum 2 weeks. I have HCV 20 years. I have probably replied to you more than anyone beacause I felt your apprehension. I told you all I can regarding the whole scenario-biopsies, treatment viral load info etc. I felt the same way 2 weeks ago when I came here with my results. THIS IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE.
Alot of us here are coping with this illness more many many years. So try to absorb all the information, what your class taught you and gather the facts. YOUR VIRAL LOAD MEANS NOTHING UNLESS YOU ARE TREATING. When and if you decide to get a biopsy to see the "true" state of your liver..then you and only you will be able to make a decision on treating this virus and attempt to get rid of it.
