Ya people here support me more than my doctor .
I am having anxieties ( And in last one month ) , I have asked many questions in this forum regarding my fear and they help me with it and But my stupid mind thinks of all the least possibilities which causes me some fears and I clear it with them .( I have even got warning form moderators for posting follow up questions regarding the fears and my thread was moved to anxiety forum ) .
I am happy that i found this
I feel much the same way you do. For the last 7.5 years there has always been someone (JennyPenny, mkandrew, mikesimon, Bill1954, and many, many others) who have always been there for me during tx and post-tx. All you can do is learn as much as you can and try to pay it forward to the next group.
It's what people do.
Yes I feel the same way Floyd, this is pretty much a rescue line for me too. We are all ,or have been, in the same boat.
Take care
So many of us have felt alone and depressed and found support and encouragement in this forum while trying to deal with the impact of hep c in our lives. My husband, like you, was diagnosed with hep c at cirrhosis stage in early 2007, and this forum helped me through a great deal – it’s a haven for all kinds of hep troubles. I’ve found an incredible amount of knowledge and caring here, much more than I ever expected – a belated welcome to you.
I know when you first get the news about cirrhosis it feels absolutely devastating, but know that cirrhosis is NOT a death sentence. It certainly is an alert for you to take your health very seriously, and to be proactive now in doing well for your liver and your body. Use the knowledge you now have to take steps to slow down further damage to your liver: no alcohol, limit the red meat as much as possible, good hydration, and low salt and low fat foods are just a few things you can do now to help prevent complications of cirrhosis.
My husband has nausea issues too, but he’s adapted to eating frequent, small meals, no fried or salty foods, high protein if possible, and he finds limiting his meat consumption helps him feel more comfortable (he does pretty good with fish). Sugar-free candies and bittersweet chocolate in small amounts also help him with the nausea episodes. I hope you have a good hep doc, and if not, you should seek one out as soon as possible – it’s important to have someone familiar with cirrhosis to help you manage your health.
Best wishes to you, and keep positive – and you know you can always come here to try and seek out answers and support. ~eureka
