They will test your sample for hepatitis C antibodies as well as other blood borne illnesses. Once your sample tests positive it will be disposed of.
I assume there are questions in a form you must answer to donate. And I assume there could be financial penalties for intentionally making false statements.
Basically, don’t do it.
You still test positive for hep c antibodies. Anyone who was ever exposed to Hep c or infected will test positive for hepatitis c antibodies for the rest of their life even if the test not detected for the virus. Because of this you cannot donate blood or blood products or sell plasma.
