Husband death

I just wanted to let everyone know that have tried to help me and my husband with their views about treatment that my husband has passed away.  He died last Tuesday, at 5:30 p.m.  He was admitted to the hospital for severe anemia.  The bleeding never would stop.  They scoped him but found no big bleeders to band or cauterize.  The liver just kept going down and then he went into kidney failure.  He was in the hospital for three weeks.  We have been married for 35 years.  Boy, I can not begin to tell you how much this hurts.  He could of been put on a transplant list but the first two and only office visits we had with the liver doctor my husband had said he never wanted a transplant but when he got really sick he said he would talk to the team about a transplant but the liver doctor said it was to late to be changing your mind.  He said they want someone who wants a transplant from the get go and not when someone realizes they are dying.  I told that doctor they my husband was always one to wait to the last because after he had his chest opened for the first heart valve surgery he said he would never have another heart surgery but when the valve got bad he was ready for another surgery and went in for the surgery.  I could go on and on about what this liver doctor did but it would not change anything.  All I can say is that I know John is not suffering anymore and I will miss in terribly.  I want to thank all of you who have been so kind to respond to my emails.  God Bless yall.

Your husband is whole again.  I have a 16 year old and have told her the same thing, no transplants for this girl.  what I've got I'll take with me, your words are an eye opener and a testament to how we cling to life when we realize it's really going to change, and we are moving on.  I believe he will always be with you and wants you to go on and smile.  I am sure that is what all of us here with loved ones living this reality want them to do if our path leads in the same direction.  Good luck to you on your journey.  I hope I have not offended you by writing in a personal manner.
