How about Harvoni 101?
Magnum of course
Hey there! This just great news! I know you will do well. I hope you will share your journey with us
Take Care
Dee
I have been worried about Hector too.
Will make a few calls tomorrow
I see my doctor 11/3. I don't have a prescription yet but in a message she said "I talked about your case with Gilead and they've retreated sofosbuvir failures with Harvoni and had cures. We did agree that 24 weeks is probably advisable."
Baby steps I guess I will know more after next Monday.
Harvoni Hellcats ?
Has anyone heard anything about Hector? I am getting a little concerned about him.
Lynn
although I'd rather be dancing with Charlize Theron in the Bahamas....
me too!
There are quite a few of us who will begin at just about the same time so I think we need a name for our new club
Hopeful Harvoni Heppers?
24 weeks of bliss except not?
take that hep C?
or, forgive me Doctor King,
Free at Last?
Great! Keep us posted on how you are doing on Harvoni.
Great news! I'll be joining you soon on the 24 week trip. We're going to be clear and dancing with joy, although I'd rather be dancing with Charlize Theron in the Bahamas....
Magnum
I'm so happy for you- this should do it for you!!! You'll be in my prayers.
So happy for you! I know how disappointing it was for you when you relapsed.
But it definitely wasn't a waste of time. Glad they approved the 24 weeks for you this time. By next summer, you will finally be free and clear of this Hep C monster.
Hoping you have an easy time. Keep us posted.
Nan
I'm new here and will be getting my Harvoni script tomorrow and joining the ranks of all my fellow, recovered (and almost recovered) heppers.
What a long, arduous journey it has been for all of us fighting this stigmatized disease.
This is truly a miracle drug and all I can say is, thank you Big Pharma!!
Blessings,
Healing Hearts
Very happy for you! SVR is great and I know you'll enjoy it, as well!!!!
So happy for you and glad to hear that they are giving you the full 24 weeks which pretty much guarantees that you'll hit it right out of the park. Wishing you all the best and it will be so fantastic that you can finally put this all behind you. Even months later I still have to remind myself that this thing is finally gone.
I am so happy for you! This is wonderful!
Thanks for letting me plagiarize and I hope it works for me too :)
Thanks Bridget
Perhaps just cut and paste the message I sent my doc and email it to yours through your patient portal?
Pointing out to them that you Know that Harvoni is now in Kaiser's formulary (and so, not "off-label"), is an important point to put the brakes on any stalling on their part
Ditto with the ION studies
I know, it's tough because we have so little face to face time with the kp docs but, in the end, you have to be your own advocate as many of my friends here have reminded me
So, if you get approved because you wore them down, well, whatever works, right?
Good luck and hope you join our Harvoni Club soon
Congrats!!! Sending healing prayers your way!! Your going to beat this!
Congratulations! I'm glad to hear someone is getting Kaiser to agree to treatment with Harvoni. My KP dr. insists nothing has been decided yet & check back with him in mid-November.
Sorry meant, were NOW Harvoni buddies. And, yeah....wherever Hector is he's my one of the best among the best.
Millie
Fabulous. I started Harvoni - Day 5! I was approve S&O but did not take because of my Q80K gene which showed resistance. Treatment naive. Your so lucky they approved you again.. Were no Harvoni buddies.
LOL...Good Luck!
Millie
That's great news. They sure weren't going to tell you that you didn't know what your talking about.
Best to you
Cande, this is wonderful, joyous news and I am so happy for you, Won't it be a relief to take just one pill a day. I took the one fixed pill -sofos/Ledi every morning with food as this was recommended to me. You must be elated. Take care.
I am so happy to hear your exciting news! I love the comment about Hector making you sound wise, I laughed out loud, hubby said, what's so funny?
You are so right, everyone will be here for you during your tx. I am so excited to hear this!!!
Hector is the best!! Shout out to Hector!!
So exciting to hear! I am so happy for both of you --- and all other relapsers/null responders who will now have a REALLY GREAT CHANCE to kill this dragon, without all those sides!
Praying for success for you both - and all others.
Pat
back atcha girlfriend!
I sent my doctor a message that said:
So excited that Harvoni was approved by the FDA on October 10th, right on schedule
Also pleased to learn that Harvoni has been added to Kaiser's formulary. I assume that this will be the protocol based on the ASLD guidelines and ION studies: (thanks Hector, once again for making me sound so wise)
