It is over!!! 12 week EOT & no viral load detected

It is over!!! 12 week EOT & no viral load detected. Wahoo!!!
I was getting into bed last night and got a text from my Doc with 5 words; test results in, you’re cured.  After over 30 years of being infected, going through 4 treatments over the last 15 years, I am cured.  What a relief. Still trying to get my head around this. Free at last, free at last, oh dear Lord free at last. Thanks to everyone on this forum who counseled, supported and provided me with the info I needed to get through this.
Just turned 66, GT 1A, stage 4F cirrhosis, Q80L mutation detected, treated 24 wks Harvoni & 18 wks RBV, The treatment was bearable, I am pretty close to being back to normal, except for the long term SX left from previous interferon/RBV/incivik treatments. All blood results are within range, ALT is on low side (10)  but  in range.

This is a wonderful message to wake up to!  I am so very very happy for you.  I  also did the Incivek and it took over two years for me to improve.  I just tried really hard to continue to drink water, walk, eat healthy, no red meat or processed foods
I wish you all the best.  We should have the Rocky song on here.  You did it!!

Yes, I will be getting a 24 wk test, and I suppose every 6 months after that. I will also continue getting ultrascan or MRI once a year to watch liver/spleen etc. health. In a year I would like to do another fibersure test.
