Trin, is that really, really you?????? OMG I am so happy that you have come back!!!!! The only one who knew what I was going through with the porphyria, and you are back........You helped me so much in understanding the first disease that I had to conquer and the on to the second.
Denise
You know how happy I am for you. Those post tx issues will go away or at least I hope so.

Thanks for sharing, Denise. Unfortunately, many of us are years older when we take inventory of our aches and pains post treatment, and are looking for a way to explain them :o). Treatment is a handy target; but of course, things like fibromyalgia aren’t readily attributable to age, either. Good luck managing that; I hope it doesn’t give you too much trouble.
Bill
Thank you!! There are a few things that I have found out in these 2 years
1) I have had muscle spasms and moving joint pains for a long time. It is Fibromyalgia, maybe made worse but probably just worse from progression. The Rheumy told me that there is good news....it will not damage organs & there is bad news.......there is no cure but to manage pain. This accounts for a lot of my lingering fatugue and pains. The IBS can also be contributed to Fibro
2) cholesterol went up for a time but it is now total 143 and the "good" is 69.
3) vitamin D was very low at 19. Taking 5,000 IU daily, sometimes a little more it is now 70.5 which is good.
4) my vision is worse but the eye doc explained that this is normal with age (48 pfttt) and it will get worse with time.
5) I still have joint pain and muscle spasms but I am not making myself nuts over it and am not overusing my meds to control those issues.
6) this time my alt was 19 and ast was 33. They seem to vary but everything else was great on the bloodwork.
The main thing I wouls like to say is that "MAYBE" some of our issues have been there just under the surface, and I don't mean a destroyed thyroid or the gastro issues. I have had many, many tests and colonoscopy, endoscope, brain MRI, x=rays, CT's MRI's, bloodwork and am satified with my final outcome..................
I BEAT HEP C and am feeling very much better (today) and am going to get on with my life and my dogs-----breeding program, training, here is what we do sugarrunschutzhundclub . com see the member page and the action shots page. This is a sport and somewhat of a science finding the right temperaments. Enough for now
