I am right behind you! I have 13 days left on INC - I can't wait to get back to eating a normal diet and not having to eat at the crack of dawn and late into the evening. I gained a total of 8 pounds, which is quite a lot for me, I am little bitty LOL It has been a rough ride from the anemia, on Procrit weekly since week 6 and has not gone above 9.8. They said I could increase the injection to 2 times per week but I opted not too - Procrit has some serious side effects so I have learned to live with the anemia. I was one of the fortunate ones that did not get the itches or rash, no bottom issues, and only suffered with nausea the first two weeks. Did not need AD's.
I have been undetected since week 4 which is a miracle for I am a IL28 TT with fatty liver, insulin resistant and relapsed after 48 weeks of SOC so this PI is a magic bullet.
Here's to wishing we all achieve SVR and get to feeling better soon - Sunny
You will feel better soon. I noticed a difference within 36 - 48 hours. And by the end of two weeks, felt great (considering I was still on SOC). But all the side of telaprevir left me quickly.
Congrats on finishing.

You might consider a fat free yogurt now and then. lol. Hope you begin to feel better for the remainder of trt.
Great, good for you. I remember when you started! No more fat.
Thanks for your words of enocuragement. I will hit week 4 on Thursday and today has been a struggle wondering if I can continue...so thanks!
Thanks everyone! Took my last dose an hour ago and I never have to eat again LOL I'm sick of food period!!!!
Been off incevik 4 almost two weeks, I felt better the first day. A little dizzy and some brain fog at first, but my fatigue went away the first day. I've been to the gym since and feel 100 percent better. Joe
Good for you! My doc said most feel much better after the incivek. It took a long time to get over the rash and my scalp didn't improve that much until just now. However, I am starting to feel like a human being again. I didn't realize how much it was affecting me until probably the last two weeks or so. I am still on peg and riba but what a difference! Congrats on doing so well. You are getting there!
2 weeks off Inciviek - alomost night and day. What a relief, no more fats and no more metal taste in my mouth. Can taste food again, walked 9 holes of golf yesterday....RVR at 4 and 12 so everything is on track so far. Good luck to you, you will get relief soon...
congrats for making it to this point...it certainly must feel like a major hurdle has been accomplished. keep up the good work. i hope you feel better. ginger
wow good for you! Wish I were on the downside of that as well sigh, well I will get there.
good for you...you'll feel better soon...i think a lot better....i can't believe the difference....took me a couple weeks of adjusting to soc....don't over do if you feel real good fast.......nice going.....billy
yay! happy for you !!!
i've been off incivek for almost 4 weeks ..the first4 days off of it i felt pretty bad ..like my body was adjusting ..i had hot flashes ..it did almost feel like withdrawl but it was probably that i was just maxed out on what my body could take and the drug does have a half life ...everyone says there are no withdrawls reported..
.. it took me a few weeks to feel alot better but it was such a huge relief to be done with the 12 weeks.. i hated eating in the morning and night...i'm so happy now that i dont have to eat fat all the time ..!! its been a month and i'm still traumatized from the eating !!!
and the sx's were bad..the itching was bad .. now i feel free ! and my labs are slowly improving too .. still dont want to party... but i can deal with this ..
hope you feel better right away ..and congratulations on making it half way !!
