Mac 790's TND @ 6 months post tx = SVR

Hey Folks, Just got back my viral titer drawn on 4-14. Still TND, as it has been since my third week on the Merck 5172-068 clinical trial. The consumer med will most likely be the two combined in one pill as mine was, 100 mg. of Grazoprevir, and 50 mg. of Elbasvir. Last tablet was 10-31-14, so I guess I can finally let myself believe it is a wrap. Merck wanted to pronounce me SVR @ 12 weeks post tx, but I wanted to wait. It is still a bit difficult to come to grips with the fact those little !@#$%^&* are finally gone. I'm told the relapse rate is practically nil, <1%. So far...
There was a major paper presented on this trial @ the EASL in Vienna last month, with a 95%+ SVR rate in mutiple GTs, w/ and w/o cirrhosis, and very few if any side efx, I would recommend it given my experience. It is not available yet via Rx, but should be by the end of the year.     SVRs To All,  mac790

What is TND? Do you mean UND? (undetected). Please clarify so we can understand better.

Congrats. I had to wait until 24 weeks because of cirrhosis, but I got there too. It is hard to wrap your head around, but I'm trying. Yay for you. Hopefully, soon this horrid virus will be history.

What a wonderful thing!!!!  SVR24 - a goal to strive for!  I am so glad that you are there!

It gives me goose bumps to know that more and more and more of us are getting to that stage - and more meds are coming along!  It sounds like the Merck tx is a keeper!  Multiple Gts!  More hope for us all.

Way, to go!  Now, you can truly go forth and enjoy your Hep C FREE life!!

Enjoy!!

Blessings,

Pat

Congrats!!

Do you think Merck is actively going to market this drug or do you think Gilead will try to buy them out?

I am so happy for you but have heard so little about this treatment option so thank you for keeping us informed
