gum recession

Hi has anyone experienced gum recession while on treatment?  I a dental dental assitant and have had perfect teeth until now.  I am freaking out because the ginigiva is receeding really fast.

I also have experienced this, and I have heard that it is not necessarily from tx, but rather hepc

I meant to say the dentist and the periodotist.  It must be a rare side effect because I don't think I've ever heard anyone else mention it.

Yes.  This happened to my husband both times he treated.  He treated for 21 weeks the first time and his gums started receding.  They were always perfectly healthy up until that point.  They stopped receding when he stopped the treatment.  
The second time he treated for 48 weeks and they started receding again.  He went to the dentist and the orthopedic surgeon and it was decided that he would have to have gum surgery after he finished treatment.  He had some tissue from the roof of his mouth grafted onto the bad spots and now he's fine.
I know it was the treatment because they only receded during treatment and stopped when he wasn't treating.
