Hi there,
I'm in the same boat as you dude. I was diagnosed a couple of months ago and will start treatment in about a month and a half. Very scared and worried about the potential side effects, and also wonder if my doctor will be liberal at prescribing me whatever it takes to make me comfortable. I am 38 years old and work in an office setting sitting behind a desk so that's in my favor. Your job sounds very stressful being that it's the ICU and all. I try to constantly remind myself that this is something that we HAVE TO DO, and what's a year out of my life to have many, many more. Besides I reflect back on all those many years when I was throwing my life away using drugs. Well good luck and it would be great if you continue to keep in touch with the room here and explain to us what your feeling so maybe I can know what to expect. Good luck buddy and we'll talk soon yeah?
I'm a stage 2 almost a 3 and my viral load is 13 million

my doc sugested drinkin boost, sleep through most of sickness from first shot ( did wake up in middle night with chills and sick but ok in mornig
Worked just fine for first 8 months treatment, then energy loss and heat too much ( work as electrician no airconditioning), but maybe coulda kept going for last 4 but had disability ins. at work, going back next week. It was good to keep busy at first though, didnt think about it. First sign of itch skin , use lotion ! used gold bond anti itch lotion ( green bottle, red cap, seems to be popular in this room, only thing that worked for me, perscription things and steriod creams didnt seem to help. Remember , none of my sides came on instantly, they came gradualy, so as they start, your doctor has time to prescribe meds if needed, I needed a mild anti depresent anti anzioty med about 4 months, Every one seems to be a little different ant different sides at different times, some not at all!Always took my shots at 6;30 on friday evening after work so sleep through any sickness, lack energy sat, better on Sunday. You can handle, just call doc as sides start if they even do, Good luck!
Good luck to you!
