OMG... what focus and preparedness. You've already made goal, so the rest is all gravy... congratulations on such great results. With UND in your pocket, life indeed is good ... but life is OVER for the virus! Hip hip hooray!
Your platelets have plenty of breathing room... out of range but not out of room by any means, so no worries. Congrats! ~eureka
Oh, and Congrats on the UND!!!!!!! Wooohoooo!!!!
You've done great preparing yourself for trt and kudos for continuing to exercise. I think its important to try to maintain some form of exercise routine, but don't beat yourself up if your not feeling up to it. Yesterday all I wanted to do after work was fall on the couch and sleep. You're at the point where you might start feeling the impact of the riba saturation and a lower Hgb. Those climbs will certainly be more challenging if that occurs.
I got to the point where I stopped wearing the heart rate monitor. Since it was often at least 10+ bpm over the norm, I just pay more attention to breathing during rides. Keep up the cardio, but don't push yourself too much.
Congrats! And....WOW! I have to agree with Frijole -- you do have great focus. It will help you through this. If, as you say, you notice a difference in stamina on steep climbs, you will still probably to do the flat ones. Something about "steep" that gets us out of breath a lot quicker, while on tx.
I have not been able to exercise, for several reasons. But when I see a post like this, it truly inspires me to try, try again :) On the days you feel like doing stuff -- do that. On the days you may not, allow yourself some rest.
I'm on Incevik, Pegasys and Ribasphere. I'm working hard to keep the weight gain minimized, but...I know I can loose it again.
I read where 20 grams of fat increases Incevik absorption 235% and 30+ grams by over 300%. I have opted for the 30+ and my weight is up 4 lbs even with the exercise. I'm working hard to keep the weight gain minimized, but...I know I can loose it again.
Hemoglobulin has stayed in the normal range. My WBC got whacked the first week, but bounced back into the normal range. Only my platelet count is continuing to drop. I know it's still early for me...I'll plan for the worst and hope for the best,,,and keep going as long as I can.
I use a heart rate monitor on an eliptical trainer and when I ride the road. I have watched my cardio capabilites increase steadily with my exercise routine, but already see a decline in my capability since starting treatment. I run a couple of resistance levels lower and reach the same target heart rate. I have a loop I ride when the weather is good and see that my stamina on steep climbs is not the same and my overall time is slower. I expect that more decline is coming, but for today life is good.
hatterasmas - wow, you have focus. I am impressed with both your pre-treatment loss and with your dedication to exercise during treatment. Are you doing Incevik? Congrats on your 4-week UND. I can only guess there has not been a siginifcant drop in hemoglobin yet. Keep it up for as long as you can.
Are you doing Pegasys? I had amazing bursts of energy the day after Pegasys shots, but not so with PegIntron. It just runs me into the ground and I do fine as long as I take tylenol day after.

The Doc has me on a two week schedule going forward...week 6, 8 and 10 for cbc and week 12 adds the second PCR. I asked her about it today and she felt that I was stable enough to do 2 week intervals.
I feel good the day after my shot. I think it's mainly because I get a good night’s sleep. I did intf shot at 5 PM and went to bed at 8:30 woke up at 4:45 feeling great. Just finished an hour of cardio and still feel good.
I woke up during the night after my first shot and didn't feel great, but was fine the next morning. I haven't noticed anything after that.
I have also made every effort I can and have used a lot of the suggestions here to be preemptive with respect to side effects. I drink a CRAZY amount of water EVERY day. I season most of my food with powdered ginger. I chase every dose of pills with a couple of ginger snaps. I eat fruits and vegetables between the fat meals. I work out 4 days+ per week.
I use gold bond lotion to keep my skin from drying out. I keep chap sticks around all the time and put it on every night. I use the Biotin mouth rinse every night. (Sometimes twice a day.) All because of information I have read here.
I also started “training” for treatment in January. I lost 40 pounds in 8 months and dropped my body fat percentage from more than 25% to less than 10%. I still continue with 4 hours cardio per week plus weightlifting. I am in the best shape of my life going into this.
I don’t know if any of this makes a difference or if it’s just grace, but it’s working for me. I hope I don't jinx myself talking about this, but there is so much written here about side effects that I thought it might help someone make the decision to get treatment if they know it doesn't necessarily have to be bad.
nice going!! keep us posted and keep up on the weekly cbcs...billy

Hurrah!
114 for a platelet count isn't bad at all.
Mine have been hovering between 80-90.
