LIVING WITH HEPATITIS C ANTIBODIES.

WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO KNOW HOW MUCH LIVER DAMAGE I HAVE? GOING TO START TREATMENTS IN LITTLE OVER WEEK. ARE THERE SUPPORT GROUPS FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME?

You need to talk with your DR a little more.  Did you get a biopsy.  did he he do a viral load on you....what geno type are you... what are your TX options....   these are question for the DR or his nurse.   I wish you well and good luck with treatment

You will know how much liver damage you have when you have a biopsy ( dont worry it is painless.  I dont even remember mine ;-) )
And if you are going to start treatment in a wk or so. then you must know what stage damage you have or how long you will treat and with what.

Good luck with your upcoming HCV treatment. Many of us use this forum as a support group; are you looking for one in your area as well?

Liver damage is usually determined by liver biopsy; have you had one yet?
