Platelet count on incivek

week one labs...platelet count from 147 to 126
week 2 labs....platelet count from 126 to 98

ugh

anyone having similar or is everyone having the same thing? They said they wouldn't get alarmed until they dropped to 25. I never had this happen on the prior treatments that I know of. Well, they never said...they just said blood work looked fine.

I've wondered before I started how my platelets would be affected. This may sound crazy, but my starting number was 599. With no spleen I have spastic platelets. 140 > 415 is the reference range, so I'm just a little high! The first bloodwork will be interesting. Take care.

That is a pretty normal drop and nothing to be at all alarmed about.....yes in the 20"s can get a little dicey....but you have a long was to go before you would get there .  and often they stabilize before that happens. Good they are doing such frequent monitoring.

Good luck
