Mouth sore

Hi guys I'm now in week 17 of 24 weeks of triple with incivik, problem is now my mouth is starting to get really dry and sore. I think i need a prescription mouth wash ,but problem is its a long weekend here in Canada and can't get into see Dr till Tuesday . If any one has suggestions it would be appreciated. I tried non alcohol mouth wash and it just burns

Hi guy thanks for all your suggestions . Went to walk in clinic Dr gave me script for Benzydamine mouth wash seems to be working good .

And for the really bothersome sores you can get anbesol-  it will numb it.

Here in Canada Biotene mouth wash at most  pharmacy.  Also home remedy: salt water rince and gargle. You can also add baking soda to it.  I used a really strong solution of about 2 tbls of salt a tsp of baking soda and 1/2 cup warm water.  Swish it around.  Biotene is better as it also helps with dryness issues.  And salt water is good for healing.

Hi Growzer,
I'm in Canada, too.  Do you have access to a walk-in clinic?  Most docs know about Magic Mouthwash.  
You can also make it yourself in a pinch: equal parts Mylanta, children's Benadryl and viscous lidocaine.  The lidocaine can be purchased without a prescription (it's kept behind the counter). Keep in a clean bottle in the fridge, shake well before using as needed. This will tide you over until Tuesday.  Your Dr may want  to add an antifungal if thrush is part of your problem.
This is the ONLY thing that's helped me over the last 36 weeks.  Good luck to you!

  I remember having a painful sore on the end of my tongue, and an unbelievably painful lil sore on my gums, and maybe even one onthe inside of my cheek sometimes. I was finding it so painful to eat.
   Then I tried Desert Essence Tea-Tree Oil Mouth-wash, but I bet any natural product that had quality tea-tree would work, but this one has worked the best for me,  I tried one other similar. I liked this company, it was only natural, and didn't sting at all. I had to gargle with it about every hour, and found improvement in about 2 days, so I kept up with that once the sore mouth side effect went away.  The Biotene worked somewhat, but was too gross to hit up, every hour. The Tea-Tree mouth-wash was yummy.

Biotene comes in a mouthwash forum to give you moisture in your mouth.  You can buy it even in a grocery store in the US.  I would think it would be easy to find in Canada.  It really help me.  It's really fast relief.

Here we have a product you can buy at a chemist called Biotene. Comes as toothpaste, gel etc.
It's the only product i found that gave some respite. The gel is a yucky experience, you spread it in your mouth before you sleep, and it stops your mouth from drying out.
I spread vaseline all over my lips to prevent cracking, and I also use pawpaw ointment when my lips do crack or get 'fever' blisters.
I have had ongoing crap with my mouth and gums since I started Triple with Incidious, and I'm at wk28. I can only hope.
