doc just called said they want me in there tomorrow at 9;30 am to discuss options on what to do next, said my blood work still looks bad, i have not been asking any questions because i decided i would just start trusting them and God.  I am a nervous wreck right now. what options could they possible come up with? i have not been taking riba for about 2 weeks.

hi,
i just finished my second tx. i think i may have been able to avoid having to go through 2 tx's if i would have enforced my instincts. i'll elaborate. because of all that i read and discussion here at medhelp i knew there was evidence suggesting 72 weeks of tx could result in a successful outcome if not clear by 6 mos. i was not clear at 6 mos. and brought that up several times with my Dr. at the time. but he was not moved and i finished 48 weeks and relapsed immediately. my point, go with your knowlege and enforce it. you need to stay on top of this and learn as much as possible. that means ask questions, read & research. knowlege is power! don't be afraid to see another Dr. at any time. i wish i would have sooner.BTW- the second Dr. (a hepatologist) tx'ed me and and i cleared @ 6 weeks and remain so 100 days post tx.good luck and be persistant!

Go Jonney!!

Now make sure you have all labs/results in your hand when you leave.

For me, having my information, having (some) knowledge...has been a huge boost to get me thru tx.  Made me feel so much better to have a sense of control.

yes i am going to have them send me all lab work and copies from now on, my family thought i was getting too involved by being in here  and constantly looking things up, but that is the only way besides you all that i learned anything. the doctors sure don't go into any lengthy details with you, get em in get em out. yes Isobella thank God it is for 9:30 tomorrow instead of Monday, so i will keep you all informed about what is going on. thanks again to you all

Stop trusting them blindly.  Get copies of all your labs. Start a file on yourself. Participate in your care.

I'm not saying your doc is bad, I'm just saying you have to be informed on your condition so you can make informed decisions.

I had to do dose reductions in the beginning as well.  Sorry you are going through this now.  I am hoping things get straightened out soon for you.
(thank goodness it's 9 tomorrow and not monday)

Good luck

I'm with you, too, sister. I've got the same stuff going on. Just got pulled off all meds due to low blood counts. I think they were pretty clear that your labs didn't look good. This stuff really does a number on your blood. 2 of mine tanked. Hoping for the best for you...

Maybe just want to start talking about rescue meds.  I'll be thinking of you, too.

easy for me to say but try not to worry about what you don't know.  They are probably just going to work out a way forward.  Maybe you are borderline on the labs, did you get any numbers?  I'll keep good thoughts.
