But you were UND at week 8?  That is very very promising and may be an indicator that your are not on the placebo.  I read somewhere that you had just done a trip in the Sierra'a and your anemia was not bad.  That is all very exciting. Here is hoping these even newer drugs will make it easier on everyone.  Oh, and I cannot say for sure that clear is only used for SVR.  I may be wrong on that.
Take care, frijole

thank you for the explanation.  i am in a double-blind study.  peg, riba and gs-9451 (could be placebo).  i won't know until week 16 if i go 24 or 48 weeks.  praying for 24 because it would mean i'm 1/2 way thru.  i look forward to being SVR one day.  good luck to you.  best wishes,  belle

Hey - you should be starting your Victrelis next Friday morning, the morning of your 5th shot.  Check with your doctor on this but I am sure that is the protocol. I fyou did shot 4 on 9/23/11, you should be getting your lead-in PCR next week, preferable Thursday, and you should start the VIC on 9/30/11.

Belle -  you just took shot 13?  Are you doing the Incevik?  I think the correct terminology would be that you are UND - not that you have cleared.  I think we leave that term to signify SVR - sustained viral response - 6 months after treatment has been completed.  So if you were on the Incevik, I will be curious to know how you feel during the next few weeks.  I guess you will be doing the 24 weeks?  Congratulations for that.

Same with me, took my 4th shot last night.  Had rash for the first 10 days or so but it has 100% gone, no treatment (my MD said to try to wait it out, he was right).  I'm on Incivek, I get serious anal burning, even though I was really well every time...
I sleep all weekend after the interferon shot on Fridays, but on Mondays I still feel like I stayed awake the whole weekend, I'm in an exhausted daze.  They say that interferon disrupts "restorative" sleep, so even though you're "sleeping" you are not getting the restorative sleep your body normally gets, and you feel like you've been without sleep...
Good luck, fingers crossed for UND for all of us!!!!

If you are not already getting them you should request copies of all your labs and keep them. Do you know what your HGB is? If you are anemic what is the plan, procrit or dose reduction of riba?
