I have heard the only test that counts is 12 weeks but und at 4 weeks post is a good sign.
also the results at 4 vs 12 weeks vary if you have F0-F2 vs F3-F4, your genotype prior to treatment, your prior treatment history and if you have the Q80K polymorphism

I relapsed from s&o but I am geno 1a-from what I have read I have only seen the 1a's relapse, everybody else seems to be doing OK.
Sorry to hear that!! How far after you ended treatment did you relapse?
Got bloodwork one month after finishing and not only did I relapse but my numbers doubled from what they were before starting.I don't understand that and I will ask my doc about it when I see him tomorrow.
Gp my viral load went from 6 million when I started with incivek, I got down to something like a viral load of 800 before I had a viral breakthrough and had to stop treatment. When I went back to get tested (it had been a while) my viral load was close to 40 million. I'm not sure why that happens.
wow, Tired!
I think you win the prize for the greatest viral load I have ever heard about
I've wondered aout that. If a high viral load is one of the 6 indices for a potential relapse, and it seems that viral loads go up and down in waves, should one begin treatment on the day that it is low?
Although how one would know that without continual testing, I don't know
This is one of the things that I just don't understand. My doc never seems concerned about viral load much
Hi Hepcandme,
My doctor never seemed to be to concerned about my viral load either. I was just explaining to GP how I would stay steady around 6 million, but once I failed treatment with incivek, it shot up so high. With that being said, I started treatment with Olysio/Sovaldi/Riba with that viral load and in 3 weeks i was already down to 40 (something like that, I can't remember the exact numbers without looking at the test.) I am not 4 weeks post treatment and still undetectable. I hope I stay this way and it worked!!!
I meant to say "now 4 weeks post treatment."
