Go to the above guidelines and you can figure out exactly what you need. I would also share this document with your PCP.
I also took an active role in determining my tx. Do some research; It's all here! Good luck. BTW, at my insistence I got approved for 24 weeks of Harvoni. Since I responded well and have no cirrhosis we agreed to go with the recommended 12 weeks. I'm almost done.
That's why this site is so helpful. My primary doctor did not even want to send me to a specialist. Or even heard of the treatment. So I have to decide my own treatment. And try to convince them.
I thought it was harvoni plus ribavirin for 12 weeks in cirrhotics or harvoni without riba for 24 weeks.
Sorry for the above comment , just saw that it may be only a 12 week tx for geno 1 with chirrosis .
Am sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in and help out .
my apologies once again .
best wishes and warm regards .

Hello
Gilead recommends Harvoni for 12 weeks for geno1 WITHOUT cirrhosis .... and 24 weeks for people WITH Cirrhosis .
I think you may want to talk to your doc about it and plan for a 24 week tx with Harvoni .
best wishes and warm regards .
