In early January, I began a clinical trial for genotype 3, 16 weeks of MK-3682B plus ribivirin.
The drug MK-3682B consists of three drugs: MK-5172 (aka grazoprevir), MK-3682, and a newer drug MK-8408 (some are being given MK-8742 aka elbasvir).
Received good news this morning: SVR 12
Oh what wonderful news Nan! Wow you two have been through the wringer, but your persistance has finally paid off! What a great birthday and Valentine's Day gift!
When I started this thread 18 months ago, I was hoping to one day add my husband to the list as reaching SVR12.
Well, that day is finally here!!!! Today is his 70th birthday and he just got his 12 Week post Harvoni treatment lab result - UNDETECTED!

Comments: (if any)
My husband is a liver transplant patient. He received his new liver in June, 2012. Unfortunately due to recurrent Hep C, within 7 months, a biopsy showed he had cirrhosis of the new liver again. A six month treatment with Sovaldi and Ribavirin (low dose only) unfortunately failed. Three months later he had a bad fall and fractured his femus and humerus which delayed treatment with Harvoni for another six months. He finally started treatment in June, 2015 and completed treatment in November, 2015. It was a very difficult year but he hung in there and now on his 70th birthday he got the news - it was all worth it - SVR12!
Hallelujah! Praise God!

Is this thread still active? If so, I would suggest that the result of an EOT+12mos. VL be added to people's data, especially since there are new meds which produce short-term SVR but then a relapse occurs.
