SVR within Sight!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that it looks like we may have another case of SVR.  Had a post tx PCR down to 10 at 14 weeks. ALT at 15!!!!   Undetected now since 4 weeks RVR.  I feel good about this and think I may have been successful.  The doctor thinks so too but I am still pinching myself.  After the info I have been reading here about the 12 weeks and post stats say my odds are real good.  Go back in November for the 6 month test.

For those not that familiar with me I am a geno 2, no blatant liver damage and had an easy time of it during treatment.  I worried that because it did not totally kick my a$$ that maybe it was not working.  Don't let that fool ya!

Now I am 16 weeks post tx and feeling I may have a new lease on life.  My residuals are a very sore left shoulder and some other minor aches.  Shoulder pain though at longer intervals.  Energy way back.  Gray matter working so well I surprise myself when something coherent comes out.  Exercising is back to normal and response seems enhanced.

So......it does work and some get off easy.  I had no idea though about any of this before I started.  It is a **** shoot.

For those afraid to treat barring any medical reasons not to, know that it is not super hard for everyone.  With what they know now about RVR and predictability you may not have to do it all for nothing.

I also want to add those tx naive geno 2/3's have it easy in the aspect that we don't have to do more than 24 weeks normally.  I am sure more than my shoulder would grieve me after 48 or 72 weeks.  I take my hat off to those troopers.

Thanks for listening and thanks for all I have learned here.  Hopefully there will be more good news in November!

Pam
