Mouth pain

Hello forum,, can someone please tell me this issue I'm having has nothing o do with SOL/RIBA.  I've had a small tongue sore that's very painful.  I dread brushing teeth an mouth washing, but biotene doesn't burn as bad. Sore throat yesterday an woke up in increased pain in my whole mouth this a.m.  The spot seems to have ulcerated kinda deep.  I tried hydrogen peroxide a few days ago,  bad decision!!  Also splotchy red spots on roof of mouth.  Top it off, here comes those nasty little headaches I GT.  Ugh,  I'm miserable.  Should I make an appt. to be seen.  Almost scared to, don't want to be stopped on medicine.. Any advice hopefully soon would be appreciated

This is not really as serious as what you are experiencing, but I have had some small bumps on the inside of my lower lip for a long time - even before I received my serious diagnosis

They are related to disease that affects the immune system and they seem to come and go. Just little bumps that don't hurt or anything

Just in case you or anyone else is wondering what other weird, quirky symptoms that you hadn't even thought about before joining the club

There are places on this forum that discuss just that. Check them out. Very helpful information on this subject. I suffered with this as well.

Hello, all. Thanks for the suggestions.  I called treating m.d. Was told to call medication pharmacy as they were not sure it was sol/RIBA related.  I'll try oil pulling w/ coconut oil tonight.  Hoping it will help some.  I did get some good news,  my VL is undetected, down from over 7 million 4 wks ago.  Thank to the good folks here about educating me as to what that means,  I'm hopeful but not thinking I'm over this battle by no means.  I'm crawling up that ladder of Hope, but knowing what to expect at this point,  I'm not falsely thinking I'm cured right now.  Hoping everyone here that's battling this, peace an hope. Take care.  Mary

It could very well be from the meds.   Use the Biotene wash up to the max (5xs day) use the Biotene spray in between uses and their mhgel to coat our mouth, teeth, tongue at night and eat at least a tablespoon of plain - the kind with no sugar or flavors added and extra live bacteria - yogert every couple of hours - after whatever else you are eating and rinsing.  I agree with mhudnall that it could be candida - (I have had a problem with that and use my yogert everyday - reduces and ultimately gets rid of the sore throat and the Biotene seems to have straightened out my mouth.  I started with one little sore area and, of course it spread, but I had read on here to possibly expect that so was prepared with all the products.  Switched yogerts and that helped.

Having said that, I agree w/mh to call your Dr and, maybe your dentist.

Good luck and get better soon - on to SVR. Pat

I have used the biotene and peroxyl rinses for intermittent sores. For me, limiting acidic foods such as tomatoes also help. Candida/thrush would be treated with a nystatin swish and swallow or magic mouthwash. My sores do not appear to be secondary to thrush. I would have them evaluate. It is unlikely they would stop treatment. I would let your health providers know.  My sores took at least 5 days to resolve and I maintained rinses. Good Luck. Jo

It might be a Candida fungal infection - check with your doc.

Riba is not kind to your mouth, teeth and gums.

It is also not kind to your retinas.
