My  ALT and AST were  slightly elevated before treatment . During treatment they went to like 500  after I finished they came back to normal in about 3 months . My Dr. told me that some people had elevated during treatment . Don't worry  it is expected in some of us.

That happened to me also during treatment brief normalization of ast/alt then a sudden rise, then #'s remained elevated the remainder of treatment even though I remained undetectable, after treatment everything normalized, remember peg and riba are toxic and can cause damage to liver cells, studies have shown decompensation of liver function during a course of these medications.today even with cirrhosis I maintain normal ast/alt 1.5 yrs post treatment so I wouldn't worry to much....

Normal levels of AST and ALT may slightly vary depending on the individual laboratory's reference values. Typically the range for normal AST is reported between 10 to 40 units per liter and ALT between 7 to 56 units per liter.

Mild elevations are generally considered to be 2-3 times higher than the normal range. In some conditions, these enzymes can be severely elevated, in the 1000s range.

A rise in ones ALT during treatment is not a problem and has happened a lot here, many things can cause this. What is important is that you are still undetected meaning no viral load... It's only when treatment ends when it can become a problem, also your is not that far out of range. Below is a link that has had this here many times, just go through the posts. That should ease your mind. Hang in there and welcome to the forum..........
