It is devastating to hear that you have relapsed. But take heart that soon there will be new treatments that are showing higher cure rates in the trials and do not require interferon or ribavirin. I'm just sorry you had to go through that again.
It won't be long before interferon will no longer be a treatment option for Hep C. I'm just sorry that your doctors put you through an interferon/ribavirin based treatment again when you had already failed a 48 week treatment prior to that. As Dee and others posted, its time to regroup and get yourself mentally and physically ready for the new treatments.  You must stay positive.
You will be virus free someday soon.

I sent you a PM also. As Can-do already  posted, you may want to post your results on the SVR or Relapse? thread. It may prove helpful to others who are GT 1 and waiting to treat. Hang in there. Your cure is on the way.

Nan

on the SVR or Relapse? thread.

Hi there, I am sorry to hear you relapsed.
I know how that feels, I relapsed the first time I treated with a 48 week tx.
The good thing is that the virus moves slowly and your test results look like you can have really low damage.

As I was told, regroup, mend your body and soul and wait for newer tx's

Maybe in Alberta that's all that's available right now?

Regardless, I am so sorry to hear this. But, as has been said there are better drugs coming out this month and after the 1st if the year.
The newest drug is called Harvoni and was made specifically for type 1. Hang in there and keep reading the posts here to gain info on these new drugs.
Welcome aboard.

Hi Love

I too relapsed. Treated with Sovaldi/Olysio for 12 weeks. Undetected till 4 week test EOT

I feel your pain, believe me. It is devastating to undergo treatment, to believe in something so much and then to have the virus return

The good news is that there are even better regimens on the horizon and we stragglers can look forward to achieving SVR

If you are F1, why have you been castigating your body with Interferon, Ribavirin, and Incevik instead of waiting for new and better treatments?

I am very sorry to hear that treatment did not work for you. I know it is devastating. Please try to hang in there. New treatments will be coming on the market soon and you will be able to treat again.
